This Taco FI Series base-mounted end suction pump features a cast iron casing with 2-1/2" suction and 1-1/2" discharge ANSI Class 125 flanges. The unit includes a 7-1/2" nominal diameter bronze impeller and a stainless steel shaft equipped with a replaceable bronze shaft sleeve. It utilizes a mechanical seal constructed with a ceramic seat, carbon rotor, and EPT rubber, rated for operation at temperatures up to 250°F. The pump design incorporates pressure tappings on the suction and discharge connections and utilizes a dry shaft configuration to prevent circulating fluid from contacting the shaft.
This unit operates at 1750 RPM using a 3 HP Baldor Super E motor with a TEFC enclosure and NEMA 182 frame. It is configured for a 230/460V, 3PH, 60Hz power supply and utilizes across-the-line starting. The motor includes AEGIS shaft grounding. The pump assembly is mounted on a welded base with an integrated drip pan and features a Woods coupler protected by a coupler guard. This equipment is EISA compliant with a DOE PEI value of 0.85 and a Hydraulic Institute energy rating of 15.
