This base-mounted end suction pump comprises a class 30 cast iron casing and a dynamically balanced bronze impeller. It utilizes a dry shaft design that prevents circulating fluid from contacting the stainless steel shaft, which is protected by a replaceable bronze shaft sleeve. The assembly integrates a mechanical seal constructed with a ceramic seat half and EPT rubber, accommodating system pressure ratings up to 125 PSI. Servicing occurs without disturbing the system piping due to the integrally cast mounting feet and the design of the bearing housing.
Operating with a 40 HP Premium Efficiency TEFC motor at 1750 RPM, the pump utilizes Aegis grounding and a 380-460V / 3PH power supply, achieving a DOE PEI value of 0.46. The 'S' in the SCI series denotes Taco's advanced Self-Sensing technology, which eliminates remote sensors and field wiring by using internal mathematical algorithms to calculate system resistance and automate variable flow. The included VFD is configured with a mechanical disconnect without bypass and holds an enclosure NEMA 12 / IP 55 rating. The drive ships unmounted for customer wall installation without a bracket, harness, or vibration mounts.
