This Taco FI Series base-mounted end suction pump features a 5" suction and a 4" discharge with ANSI Class 125 flanges. It uses a 13-1/2" nominal diameter bronze impeller and a cast iron casing. The assembly incorporates a stainless steel shaft with a replaceable bronze shaft sleeve and a dry shaft design. The mechanical seal consists of a Ni-Resist seat, a carbon rotor, and EPT rubber, rated for temperatures up to 250 °F. Pressure tappings are integrated into the suction and discharge connections.
The pump operates at 1750 RPM and is powered by a 40 HP Baldor ODP motor in a 324 T frame. It connects to a 230-460/60/3 power supply and utilizes across-the-line starting. The motor meets NEMA premium efficiency standards per MG1-12.55 and includes AEGIS shaft grounding. The unit is mounted on a welded base with an integrated drip pan and an OSHA-compliant coupler guard. It uses a Woods standard coupler to connect the pump to the bearing frame, which contains greasable bearings. The pump has a DOE PEI value of 0.92 and is configured for counter-clockwise rotation.
