This Taco FI Series base-mounted end suction pump features a 4" suction and a 3" discharge with ANSI Class 125 flanges. The pump construction includes a cast iron casing, a bronze impeller with a 13-1/2" nominal diameter, and a stainless steel shaft with a bronze shaft sleeve. It utilizes a mechanical seal with a ceramic seat, carbon rotor, and EPT rubber, rated for operation at temperatures up to 250°F. The unit incorporates a dry shaft design to prevent contact between the circulating fluid and the shaft and includes pressure tappings on both the suction and discharge connections.
This unit operates at 1750 RPM and is powered by a 40 HP Baldor ODP premium efficiency motor, which meets MG1-12.55 standards. The motor is built on a 324 T-frame and uses a 230-460/60/3PH power supply with across-the-line starting and an AEGIS shaft grounding ring. The assembly is mounted on a welded base with an integrated drip pan and an OSHA-compliant coupler guard. It uses a standard Woods coupler and a bearing frame with greasable bearings. This model is rated for a 40°C ambient environment and has a PEI value of 0.9.
