This Taco CI Series close-coupled end suction pump features a 2-1/2" suction and a 1-1/2" discharge with ANSI Class 125 flanges. The unit is constructed with a cast iron casing, a 6-1/4" nominal diameter bronze impeller, and a bronze shaft sleeve. The pump utilizes a dry shaft design that eliminates contact between the shaft and the circulating fluid. A mechanical seal is installed, consisting of a ceramic seat, a carbon rotor, and EPT rubber. The assembly includes flush seal line taps and pressure tappings on the suction and discharge connections. The rear pullout design allows for servicing without disturbing system piping, while the top centerline discharge simplifies piping layouts and facilitates self-venting.
This pump operates at 3450 RPM and is powered by a 7-1/2 HP Baldor motor with a TEFC enclosure and a drip cover. It is configured with a JM motor frame with feet and a 230-460V/60/3PH power supply. The motor utilizes an across-the-line starting option and complies with NEMA standards. The motor meets MG1-12.55 premium efficiency requirements and includes AEGIS shaft grounding. The operating ambient temperature rating is 40 °C. This model carries a DOE PEI value of 0.89.
