This base-mounted end suction pump utilizes a class 30 cast iron casing with an integrally cast mounting feet design. The hydraulic assembly comprises a bronze impeller dynamically balanced to ANSI Grade G6.3 and a stainless steel shaft protected by a dry shaft design. This configuration prevents the circulating fluid from contacting the shaft and incorporates a replaceable bronze shaft sleeve for maintenance efficiency. Internal sealing consists of a ceramic and EPT mechanical seal rated for 250°F operation, while the bearing housing utilizes permanently lubricated, sealed-for-life ball bearings. Pressure tappings are provided on both the suction and discharge connections to facilitate system monitoring.
The assembly operates with a 50 HP premium efficiency TEFC motor at 1750 RPM, equipped with Aegis grounding and powered by a 380-460V three-phase supply. The 'S' in the SCI series denotes Taco's advanced Self-Sensing technology, which eliminates remote sensors and field wiring by using internal mathematical algorithms to calculate system resistance and automate variable flow. The included VFD is configured with a fused disconnect without bypass and holds an enclosure NEMA 12 / IP 55 rating. The drive ships unmounted for customer wall installation without a bracket, harness, or vibration mounts.
