This base-mounted end suction pump comprises a cast iron casing and a bronze impeller. It incorporates a dry shaft design that prevents contact between the circulating fluid and the stainless steel shaft. A bronze shaft sleeve protects the shaft assembly. The mechanical seal utilizes ceramic and EPT materials, providing a pressure rating of 125 PSI without a wear ring. This configuration facilitates maintenance by allowing access to internal components without disturbing system piping. Pressure tappings on suction and discharge connections are standard.
The assembly utilizes a 20 HP premium efficiency TEFC motor operating at 3450 RPM, equipped with Aegis grounding for operation on 200-230V 3PH power with a DOE PEI rating of 0.47. The "S" in the SFI series denotes Taco's advanced Self-Sensing technology, which eliminates remote sensors and field wiring by using internal mathematical algorithms to calculate system resistance and automate variable flow. The included VFD is configured with a fused disconnect without bypass and holds an enclosure NEMA 12 / IP 55 rating. The drive ships unmounted for customer wall installation without a bracket, harness, or vibration mounts.
