This base-mounted end suction pump comprises a class 30 cast iron casing and a bronze impeller. The assembly utilizes a dry shaft design, which prevents fluid contact with the stainless steel shaft. A replaceable bronze shaft sleeve covers the shaft, while the mechanical seal integrates ceramic seat halves and EPT rubber components to handle pressure ratings up to 125 PSI. This construction facilitates system maintenance, with gauge ports positioned at both the suction and discharge connections for system monitoring.
The pump operates with a 5 HP Premium Efficiency TEFC motor at 1750 RPM, which integrates Aegis Grounding and receives power through a 380-460V / 3PH supply, resulting in a DOE PEI rating of 0.47. The 'S' in the SCI series denotes Taco's advanced Self-Sensing technology, which eliminates remote sensors and field wiring by using internal mathematical algorithms to calculate system resistance and automate variable flow. The included VFD is configured with a fused disconnect without bypass and holds an enclosure NEMA 12 / IP 55 rating. The drive ships unmounted for customer wall installation without a bracket, harness, or vibration mounts.
