This base-mounted end suction pump is constructed with a cast iron casing and a bronze impeller. The assembly incorporates a dry shaft design that prevents contact between the circulating fluid and the shaft, which is composed of stainless steel and covered by a replaceable bronze shaft sleeve. For fluid containment, it utilizes a mechanical seal with a ceramic seat and EPT rubber, rated for 125 PSI operation. The center-line discharge casing includes integral mounting feet and pressure tappings on the suction and discharge connections for monitoring.
Powered by a 5 HP premium efficiency TEFC motor operating at 1750 RPM with Aegis grounding, the assembly runs on 208V / 3PH power with a DOE PEI rating of 0.44. The 'S' in the SFI series denotes Taco's advanced Self-Sensing technology, which eliminates remote sensors and field wiring by using internal mathematical algorithms to calculate system resistance and automate variable flow. The included VFD is configured with a fused disconnect without bypass and holds an enclosure NEMA 1 / IP 21 rating. The drive ships unmounted for customer wall installation without a bracket, harness, or vibration mounts.
