This close-coupled end suction pump comprises a cast iron casing with a 125 PSI pressure rating. It integrates a bronze impeller and a bronze shaft sleeve to facilitate fluid movement. The design utilizes a dry shaft configuration that isolates the pump shaft from the circulating fluid to mitigate corrosion. A mechanical seal is incorporated into the assembly, constructed with a ceramic seat half and EPT rubber. Suction and discharge connections include pressure tappings to allow for monitoring. The construction supports maintenance via an easy-to-replace slip-on shaft sleeve.
Powered by a 15 HP premium efficiency ODP motor, the assembly operates at 3450 RPM with Aegis grounding and utilizes a 200-230V 3PH power supply, resulting in a DOE PEI rating of 0.42. The "S" in the SCI series denotes Taco's advanced Self-Sensing technology, which eliminates remote sensors and field wiring by using internal mathematical algorithms to calculate system resistance and automate variable flow. The included VFD is configured with a fused disconnect without bypass and holds an enclosure NEMA 1 / IP 21 rating. The drive ships unmounted for customer wall installation without a bracket, harness, or vibration mounts.
