This base-mounted end suction pump comprises a class 30 cast iron casing and a bronze impeller. The design utilizes a dry shaft arrangement, shielding the stainless steel shaft from the circulating fluid through a replaceable bronze shaft sleeve. This assembly incorporates a mechanical seal constructed with a ceramic seat and EPT rubber. The unit is rated for 125 PSI operation. Pressure tappings are located on both the suction and discharge connections to facilitate system monitoring.
The pump assembly is powered by a 7.5 HP Premium Efficiency ODP motor operating at 1750 RPM with Aegis Grounding and a 200-230V / 3PH power supply, resulting in a DOE PEI rating of 0.44. The 'S' in the SFI series denotes Taco's advanced Self-Sensing technology, which eliminates remote sensors and field wiring by using internal mathematical algorithms to calculate system resistance and automate variable flow. The included VFD is configured with a mechanical disconnect without bypass and holds an enclosure NEMA 1 / IP 21 rating. The drive ships unmounted for customer wall installation without a bracket, harness, or vibration mounts.
