This Taco FI Series base-mounted end suction pump features a 3" suction and a 2-1/2" discharge with ANSI Class 125 flanges. The unit consists of a cast iron casing and a 9-1/2" nominal diameter bronze impeller. It is constructed with a stainless steel shaft and a bronze shaft sleeve. The mechanical seal assembly includes a ceramic seat, a carbon rotor, and EPT rubber, rated for temperatures up to 250°F. The design incorporates a dry shaft to prevent contact with the circulating fluid. Pressure tappings are located on the suction and discharge connections, and the unit includes flush seal line taps.
The pump operates at 1150 RPM and uses a 2 HP Baldor TEFC motor mounted on a NEMA 184 frame. Power requirements are 230/460V, 3PH, 60Hz, with an across-the-line starting configuration. The motor meets NEMA premium efficiency standards and includes AEGIS shaft grounding. The assembly is mounted on a welded structural steel base that includes an integral drip pan. A Woods coupler connects the pump to the motor, protected by a standard coupler guard. The system is rated for a 40°C ambient temperature.
