This base-mounted end suction pump utilizes a cast iron casing with center-line discharge and integrally cast mounting feet to provide structural stability. The assembly incorporates a stainless steel impeller coupled to a stainless steel shaft, protected by a replaceable bronze shaft sleeve that prevents contact with the circulating fluid. A dry shaft design mitigates internal corrosion, while the mechanical seal, constructed with a ceramic seat and EPT elastomer, operates at pressures up to 125 PSI. This configuration allows for field maintenance of the seal and bearings without disturbing the system piping.
The pump assembly utilizes a 2 HP, premium efficiency, TEFC motor operating at 1750 RPM with Aegis shaft grounding, powered by a 380-460V / 3PH electrical supply, with a DOE PEI rating of 0.44. The 'S' in the SCI series denotes Taco's advanced Self-Sensing technology, which eliminates remote sensors and field wiring by using internal mathematical algorithms to calculate system resistance and automate variable flow. The included VFD is configured with a fused disconnect without bypass and holds an enclosure NEMA 12 / IP 55 rating. The drive ships unmounted for customer wall installation without a bracket, harness, or vibration mounts.
