This base-mounted end suction pump is constructed with a cast iron casing and integrally cast mounting feet. The assembly utilizes a bronze impeller and a stainless steel shaft covered by a replaceable bronze shaft sleeve. Engineering specifications include a mechanical seal composed of ceramic seat halves and EPT rubber, operating at a pressure capacity of 125 PSI without a wear ring. This dry shaft configuration prevents circulating fluid from contacting the shaft.
The unit integrates a 7.5 HP premium efficiency TEFC motor operating at 1750 RPM with Aegis grounding, powered by 200-230V / 3PH electricity, and possesses a DOE PEI of 0.44. The "S" in the SFI series denotes Taco's advanced Self-Sensing technology, which eliminates remote sensors and field wiring by using internal mathematical algorithms to calculate system resistance and automate variable flow. The included VFD is configured with a fused disconnect without bypass and holds an enclosure NEMA 12 / IP 55 rating. The drive ships unmounted for customer wall installation without a bracket, harness, or vibration mounts.
