This base-mounted end suction pump incorporates a cast iron casing with a center-line discharge and an integrally cast bronze impeller. The assembly utilizes a dry shaft design that prevents circulating fluid from contacting the stainless steel shaft, which is protected by a replaceable bronze shaft sleeve. For pressure management, the system maintains a 125 PSI rating and includes a mechanical seal comprised of a ceramic seat and EPT rubber components. This construction allows for maintenance of the bearing housing and seal without disturbing the primary system piping.
The 20 HP premium efficiency TEFC motor operates at 1750 RPM and integrates Aegis grounding, powered by a 380-460V 3PH supply with a DOE PEI rating of 0.48. The "S" in the SCI series denotes Taco's advanced Self-Sensing technology, which eliminates remote sensors and field wiring by using internal mathematical algorithms to calculate system resistance and automate variable flow. The included VFD is configured with a fused disconnect without bypass and holds an enclosure NEMA 12 / IP 55 rating. The drive ships unmounted for customer wall installation without a bracket, harness, or vibration mounts.
