This Taco CI Series close-coupled end suction pump features a cast iron casing with a 2-1/2" suction and a 1-1/2" discharge. It utilizes a 6-1/4" nominal diameter bronze impeller and a bronze shaft sleeve. The pump includes a dry shaft design that eliminates contact between the shaft and the circulating fluid. The mechanical seal assembly consists of a ceramic seat, carbon rotor, and EPT rubber, rated for temperatures up to 250°F. The unit is constructed with ANSI Class 125 flanges, flush seal line taps, and pressure tappings on the suction and discharge connections. A rear pullout design allows for service without disturbing the system piping.
This unit operates at 3450 RPM and is driven by a 5 HP Baldor Super E premium efficiency motor. The motor is a TEFC enclosure, 184 JM frame style with feet, and complies with NEMA standards. It is configured for a 230-460V/3PH power supply with across-the-line starting. The pump operates at a 40°C ambient temperature with counter-clockwise rotation. The motor meets MG1-12.55 standards, and the assembly has a DOE PEI value of 0.89.
