This close-coupled end suction pump incorporates a cast iron casing and a bronze impeller. The design integrates a dry shaft mechanism that eliminates contact between the circulating fluid and the pump shaft. A bronze shaft sleeve protects the shaft assembly, while the mechanical seal comprises a ceramic seat half and EPT rubber components. This dry shaft mechanical construction maintains a pressure rating of 125 PSI without a wear ring. Pressure tappings are provided on both the suction and discharge connections to monitor system performance.
The assembly utilizes a 10 HP premium efficiency TEFC motor operating at 3450 RPM. This motor incorporates Aegis grounding and utilizes a 380-460V 3PH power supply, resulting in a DOE PEI rating of 0.42. The 'S' in the SCI series denotes Taco's advanced Self-Sensing technology, which eliminates remote sensors and field wiring by using internal mathematical algorithms to calculate system resistance and automate variable flow. The included VFD holds an enclosure NEMA 12 / IP 55 rating. The drive ships unmounted for customer wall installation without a bracket, harness, or vibration mounts.
