This end suction pump incorporates a cast iron casing with integrally cast mounting feet and a bronze impeller. The design utilizes a dry shaft configuration that isolates the stainless steel shaft from the circulating fluid, complemented by a replaceable bronze shaft sleeve. A ceramic mechanical seal with EPT rubber provides fluid containment within the unit, which sustains operation up to 125 PSI. A bronze wear ring is integrated into the casing assembly to maintain hydraulic efficiency. The unit allows for maintenance of the seal and internal components without disturbing the system piping connections.
This unit operates with a 15 HP premium efficiency TEFC motor at 3450 RPM, utilizing Aegis grounding for protection, powered by 200-230V / 3PH electrical input, and maintains a DOE PEI rating of 0.45. The "S" in the SFI series denotes Taco's advanced Self-Sensing technology, which eliminates remote sensors and field wiring by using internal mathematical algorithms to calculate system resistance and automate variable flow. The included VFD is configured with a mechanical disconnect without bypass and holds an enclosure NEMA 12 / IP 55 rating. The drive ships unmounted for customer wall installation without a bracket, harness, or vibration mounts.
