This Taco FI Series base-mounted end suction pump features a 5" suction and a 4" discharge with ANSI Class 125 flanges. The unit consists of a cast iron casing with an integrally cast bronze wear ring and a 13-1/2" nominal diameter bronze impeller. It utilizes a stainless steel shaft equipped with a replaceable bronze shaft sleeve and a dry shaft design. The mechanical seal is configured with a ceramic seat, carbon rotor, and EPT rubber, providing a temperature rating of 250°F. The casing includes pressure tappings on the suction and discharge connections for system monitoring.
This pump is driven by a 40 HP WEG TEFC motor in a NEMA 324T frame, operating at 1750 RPM with a power supply of 380V/60Hz/3PH. The assembly is mounted on a welded structural steel base that includes an integral drip pan and a coupler guard for the Woods coupler. Starting is configured for across the line operation. The motor meets Super E Premium Efficiency standards, and the pump assembly maintains a PEI of 0.92. The bearing frame contains sealed-for-life ball bearings and includes flush seal line taps.
