This close-coupled end suction pump incorporates a cast iron casing and cover paired with a stainless steel impeller for fluid transfer. The assembly utilizes a bronze shaft sleeve and a dry shaft design rated for 125 PSI. Sealing occurs through a mechanical seal comprised of a ceramic seat and EPT rubber components, which prevents contact between the shaft and the circulating fluid to limit corrosion. Suction and discharge connections include standard pressure tappings for system monitoring.
The motor is a 3 HP Premium Efficiency TEFC unit operating at 1750 RPM with Aegis grounding, powered by 200-230V / 3PH electrical input, yielding a DOE PEI of 0.45. The 'S' in the SCI series denotes Taco's advanced Self-Sensing technology, which eliminates remote sensors and field wiring by using internal mathematical algorithms to calculate system resistance and automate variable flow. The included VFD is configured with a fused disconnect without bypass and holds an enclosure NEMA 12 / IP 55 rating. The drive ships unmounted for customer wall installation without a bracket, harness, or vibration mounts.
