This base-mounted end suction pump utilizes a cast iron casing with center-line discharge and an integrally cast mounting foot to facilitate air venting. The assembly incorporates a dynamically balanced bronze impeller and a stainless steel shaft protected by a replaceable bronze shaft sleeve. This dry shaft design prevents circulating fluid from contacting the shaft. A mechanical seal with a ceramic seat and EPT rubber ensures pressure containment within the casing, which is rated for a maximum of 125 PSI without the use of a wear ring. Pressure tappings are located at both the suction and discharge connections to allow for system monitoring.
The 3 HP premium efficiency TEFC motor operates at 1750 RPM, integrates Aegis grounding, and receives power via 380-460V / 3PH electricity, resulting in a DOE PEI rating of 0.46. The S in this pump series denotes Taco's advanced Self-Sensing technology, which eliminates remote sensors and field wiring by using internal mathematical algorithms to calculate system resistance and automate variable flow. The included VFD is configured with a fused disconnect without bypass and holds an enclosure NEMA 4X / IP 66 rating. The drive ships unmounted for customer wall installation without a bracket, harness, or vibration mounts.
