This close-coupled end suction pump utilizes a cast iron casing with a bronze impeller and bronze shaft sleeve. The dry shaft design prevents contact between the circulating fluid and the pump shaft, which simplifies maintenance through the use of an easily replaceable slip-on shaft sleeve. A ceramic mechanical seal with EPT rubber components maintains system integrity at pressures up to 125 PSI. The assembly incorporates flush seal line taps to allow for filter installation, alongside suction and discharge pressure tappings for system monitoring.
The motor is a 7.5 HP Premium Efficiency TEFC unit operating at 3450 RPM with Aegis grounding and a 200-230V 3PH power supply, resulting in a DOE PEI rating of 0.45. The 'S' in the SCI series denotes Taco's advanced Self-Sensing technology, which eliminates remote sensors and field wiring by using internal mathematical algorithms to calculate system resistance and automate variable flow. The included VFD is configured with a fused disconnect without bypass and holds an enclosure NEMA 1 / IP 21 rating. The drive ships unmounted for customer wall installation without a bracket, harness, or vibration mounts.
