This base-mounted end suction pump integrates a cast iron casing with center-line discharge for air venting and integrally cast mounting feet. The assembly utilizes a bronze impeller and a stainless steel shaft, which is protected by a replaceable bronze shaft sleeve via a dry shaft design that prevents circulating fluid from contacting the shaft. The mechanical seal consists of an EPT rubber component and a ceramic seat, sustaining operational pressures up to 125 PSI. This pump construction allows for servicing without the removal of system piping, while gauge ports allow for pressure monitoring at both the suction and discharge connections.
Powering this pump is a 30 HP Premium Efficiency ODP motor that operates at 1750 RPM and includes Aegis grounding, functioning on a 380-460V, 3PH supply with a DOE PEI rating of 0.48. The 'S' in the SCI series denotes Taco's advanced Self-Sensing technology, which eliminates remote sensors and field wiring by using internal mathematical algorithms to calculate system resistance and automate variable flow. The included VFD manages the motor and holds an enclosure NEMA Type 1 / IP 21 rating. The drive ships unmounted for customer wall installation without a bracket, harness, or vibration mounts.
