This base-mounted end suction pump is constructed with a cast iron casing and an integrally cast center-line discharge for positive air venting. The hydraulic assembly integrates a bronze impeller and a stainless steel shaft covered by a replaceable bronze shaft sleeve. This mechanical design utilizes a dry shaft arrangement that prevents contact between the circulating fluid and the shaft, maintaining pressure ratings up to 125 PSI with a wear ring. The seal assembly comprises a ceramic seat and EPT rubber, facilitating maintenance and serviceability while the unit operates. The pump housing incorporates gauge ports at both the suction and discharge connections for monitoring system performance.
Powered by a 30 HP Premium Efficiency TEFC motor operating at 1750 RPM, the assembly integrates Aegis grounding and runs on 380-460V / 3PH power with a DOE PEI rating of 0.48. The "S" in the SFI series denotes Taco's advanced Self-Sensing technology, which eliminates remote sensors and field wiring by using internal mathematical algorithms to calculate system resistance and automate variable flow. The included VFD is configured with a fused disconnect without bypass and holds an enclosure NEMA 12 / IP 55 rating. The drive ships unmounted for customer wall installation without a bracket, harness, or vibration mounts.
