This base-mounted end suction pump incorporates a cast iron casing with a bronze impeller and a stainless steel shaft covered by a replaceable bronze shaft sleeve. The design utilizes a dry shaft configuration that prevents circulating fluid from contacting the shaft, rated for a pressure of 125 PSI. A mechanical seal consisting of ceramic seat material and EPT rubber components facilitates fluid containment. This assembly provides center-line discharge for air venting and includes pressure tappings on the suction and discharge connections to allow for system monitoring.
The motor operates at 30 HP with a premium efficiency rating and a TEFC enclosure, maintaining a speed of 3450 RPM. This motor integrates Aegis grounding and accepts a 380-460V / 3PH power supply, resulting in a DOE PEI of 0.46. The "S" in the SFI series denotes Taco's advanced Self-Sensing technology, which eliminates remote sensors and field wiring by using internal mathematical algorithms to calculate system resistance and automate variable flow. The included VFD is configured with a fused disconnect without bypass and holds an enclosure NEMA 12 / IP 55 rating. The drive ships unmounted for customer wall installation without a bracket, harness, or vibration mounts.
