This Taco CI Series close-coupled end suction pump features a 3" suction connection and a 2-1/2" discharge connection with ANSI Class 125 flanges. The unit consists of a cast iron casing, a bronze impeller with a 13-1/2" nominal diameter, and a bronze shaft sleeve. The design incorporates a dry shaft to prevent contact between the pump shaft and the circulating fluid. It utilizes a mechanical seal constructed with a ceramic seat, carbon rotor, and EPT rubber, rated for operation up to 250 °F. The casing includes flush seal line taps and pressure tappings on the suction and discharge connections. A rear pullout design allows for servicing without removing system piping.
The pump operates at 1150 RPM and is driven by a 5 HP WEG motor. It uses a 215 JM motor frame with feet and a TEFC enclosure. The motor adheres to NEMA standards and meets premium efficiency requirements as defined by MG1-12.55. Power configuration is 230-460V, 3PH, 60Hz, with across-the-line starting and CCW rotation. The motor is rated for a 40 °C ambient environment and includes AEGIS shaft grounding.
