This base-mounted end suction pump utilizes a center-line discharge cast iron casing and a bronze impeller to facilitate fluid movement at pressures up to 125 PSI. The assembly incorporates a dry shaft design that prevents contact between the circulating fluid and the stainless steel shaft, while a replaceable bronze shaft sleeve protects the shaft from wear. Internal components are serviced without disturbing the system piping. The pump employs a ceramic and EPT mechanical seal to manage fluid containment. Integrally cast mounting feet provide structural support for the volute, and the design allows for the installation of flush seal line taps to protect the internal seal mechanism from particles.
Powered by a 5 HP premium efficiency ODP motor, this assembly operates at 1750 RPM, incorporates Aegis grounding, and accepts 200-230V, 3PH power input, achieving a DOE PEI rating of 0.47. The "S" in the SFI series denotes Taco's advanced Self-Sensing technology, which eliminates remote sensors and field wiring by using internal mathematical algorithms to calculate system resistance and automate variable flow. The included VFD is configured with a fused disconnect without bypass and holds an enclosure NEMA 1 / IP 21 rating. The drive ships unmounted for customer wall installation without a bracket, harness, or vibration mounts.
