This Taco FI Series base-mounted end suction pump features an 8" suction and 6" discharge with ANSI Class 125 flanges. It utilizes an 11" nominal diameter bronze impeller housed within a cast iron casing. The unit incorporates a stainless steel shaft equipped with a replaceable bronze shaft sleeve and a dry shaft design that prevents contact between the shaft and the circulating fluid. The mechanical seal consists of a ceramic seat, carbon rotor, and EPT rubber, rated for temperatures up to 250°F. The pump casing includes gauge ports at both the suction and discharge connections for system monitoring.
The pump operates at 1750 RPM and is powered by a 50 HP Baldor Super E premium efficiency TEFC motor in a NEMA 326 frame. It is configured for 230/460V, 3PH power and uses across the line starting. The assembly is mounted on a welded base with an integrated drip pan and includes a Woods coupler with a standard coupler guard. This EISA compliant unit maintains a DOE PEI value of 0.93 and an HI energy rating of 7. It is rated for operation in a 40°C ambient environment and includes AEGIS shaft grounding.
