This base-mounted end suction pump comprises a cast iron casing with a center-line discharge and a hydraulically balanced bronze impeller. It incorporates a dry shaft design that prevents circulating fluid from contacting the stainless steel shaft, which is covered by a replaceable bronze shaft sleeve. The pump utilizes a mechanical seal consisting of a ceramic seat half and EPT rubber. This assembly supports a maximum pressure rating of 125 PSI and integrates suction and discharge pressure tappings to allow for system monitoring.
The motor is a 7.5 HP premium efficiency TEFC model operating at 1750 RPM with Aegis grounding, powered by 380-460V / 3PH electrical input, and maintains a DOE PEI of 0.44. The 'S' in the SFI series denotes Taco's advanced Self-Sensing technology, which eliminates remote sensors and field wiring by using internal mathematical algorithms to calculate system resistance and automate variable flow. The included VFD is configured with a fused disconnect without bypass and holds an enclosure NEMA 12 / IP 55 rating. The drive ships unmounted for customer wall installation without a bracket, harness, or vibration mounts.
