This base-mounted end suction pump comprises a cast iron casing and a bronze impeller. The assembly integrates a dry shaft design that eliminates contact between the circulating fluid and the stainless steel shaft. A bronze shaft sleeve protects the shaft, while the mechanical seal utilizes ceramic seat halves and EPT rubber components to provide a seal rated for 125 PSI without a wear ring. The pump is constructed with suction and discharge connections that allow for pressure monitoring during operation.
Powered by a 60 HP premium efficiency TEFC motor, the unit operates at 1750 RPM and incorporates Aegis grounding for protection against shaft currents, operating on a 380-460V / 3PH power supply. The "S" in the SFI series denotes Taco's advanced Self-Sensing technology, which eliminates remote sensors and field wiring by using internal mathematical algorithms to calculate system resistance and automate variable flow. The included VFD is configured with a fused disconnect without bypass and holds an enclosure NEMA 12 / IP 55 rating. The drive ships unmounted for customer wall installation without a bracket, harness, or vibration mounts.
