This close-coupled end suction pump comprises a cast iron casing and cover paired with a stainless steel impeller. It utilizes a dry shaft design that eliminates contact between the circulating fluid and the pump shaft, rated for 125 PSI with a wear ring. A bronze shaft sleeve provides protection for the assembly, while the mechanical seal is constructed with ceramic and EPT materials. Pressure tappings on the suction and discharge connections allow for system monitoring, and the design incorporates flush seal line taps to facilitate the installation of a filter for the protection of the seal from non-condensable particles in open systems.
Powered by a 15 HP Premium Efficiency ODP motor, the assembly operates at 3450 RPM with Aegis grounding on a 200-230V 3PH power supply. The 'S' in the SCI series denotes Taco's advanced Self-Sensing technology, which eliminates remote sensors and field wiring by using internal mathematical algorithms to calculate system resistance and automate variable flow. The included VFD is configured with a fused disconnect without bypass and holds an enclosure NEMA 1 / IP 21 rating. The drive ships unmounted for customer wall installation without a bracket, harness, or vibration mounts.
