This Taco CI Series close-coupled end suction pump features a 2-1/2" suction connection and a 1-1/2" discharge connection with ANSI Class 125 flanges. The pump is constructed with a cast iron casing and cover, a stainless steel (NSF61) impeller with a 6-1/4" nominal diameter, and a bronze shaft sleeve. It utilizes a dry shaft design that prevents contact between the system fluid and the shaft. The mechanical seal consists of a ceramic seat, carbon rotor, and EPT rubber, rated for 250 °F. The unit includes flush seal line taps and pressure tappings on suction and discharge connections. A rear pullout design allows for servicing without disturbing system piping, and the top center line discharge assists in self-venting.
This pump operates at 3450 RPM and is powered by a 5 HP Baldor motor. It is configured with an ODP enclosure and a JM style motor frame with feet. The unit uses a 230-460V, 60Hz, 3PH power supply and features an across-the-line starting option. The motor meets NEMA standards and premium efficiency requirements under MG1-12.55 with AEGIS shaft grounding. The pump functions in 40 °C ambient temperatures and has a DOE PEI of 0.89.
