This base-mounted end suction pump incorporates a cast iron casing with center-line discharge and integral mounting feet. The assembly utilizes a bronze impeller and a stainless steel shaft equipped with a replaceable bronze shaft sleeve. This pump integrates a dry shaft design to prevent the circulating fluid from contacting the shaft and utilizes a mechanical seal constructed with a ceramic seat and EPT rubber. The internal casing design handles pressures up to 125 PSI. Bearing housings hold permanently lubricated, sealed-for-life ball bearings that allow maintenance without disturbing piping connections.
Powered by a 40 HP premium efficiency TEFC motor operating at 1750 RPM, the assembly integrates Aegis shaft grounding and operates on 200-230V 3PH power with a DOE PEI rating of 0.46. The 'S' in the SCI series denotes Taco's advanced Self-Sensing technology, which eliminates remote sensors and field wiring by using internal mathematical algorithms to calculate system resistance and automate variable flow. The included VFD is configured with a fused disconnect without bypass and holds an enclosure NEMA 12 / IP 55 rating. The drive ships unmounted for customer wall installation without a bracket, harness, or vibration mounts.
