This end suction pump utilizes a cast iron casing with center-line discharge and an integrally cast mounting foot. The assembly integrates a bronze impeller and a stainless steel shaft protected by a replaceable bronze shaft sleeve. This dry shaft configuration prevents the circulating fluid from contacting the shaft. A mechanical seal comprising a ceramic seat and EPT rubber components isolates the rotating element. The unit operates at a maximum pressure of 125 PSI.
The pump operates with a 3 HP premium efficiency TEFC motor at 1750 RPM, which integrates Aegis grounding and accepts 200-230V / 3PH power input, resulting in a DOE PEI rating of 0.5. The "S" in the SFI series denotes Taco's advanced Self-Sensing technology, which eliminates remote sensors and field wiring by using internal mathematical algorithms to calculate system resistance and automate variable flow. The included VFD is configured with a fused disconnect without bypass and holds an enclosure NEMA 12 / IP 55 rating. The drive ships unmounted for customer wall installation without a bracket, harness, or vibration mounts.
