This base-mounted end suction pump is constructed with a cast iron casing and a bronze impeller. The assembly integrates a stainless steel shaft paired with a bronze shaft sleeve to maintain a dry shaft design, which prevents contact between the shaft and the circulating fluid. This configuration operates at a maximum pressure of 125 PSI without a wear ring. A mechanical seal constructed of ceramic and EPT materials secures the shaft exit. The pump allows for service without the need to disturb existing system piping, and it incorporates gauge ports at both the suction and discharge connections for pressure monitoring.
The 5 HP Premium Efficiency TEFC motor operates at 1750 RPM, utilizes Aegis grounding, and receives power via 208V / 3PH supply, resulting in a DOE PEI rating of 0.47. The "S" in the SCI series denotes Taco's advanced Self-Sensing technology, which eliminates remote sensors and field wiring by using internal mathematical algorithms to calculate system resistance and automate variable flow. The included VFD is configured with a fused disconnect without bypass and holds an enclosure NEMA 12 / IP 55 rating. The drive ships unmounted for customer wall installation without a bracket, harness, or vibration mounts.
