This Taco CI Series close-coupled end suction pump features a 2-1/2" suction connection and a 2" discharge connection with ANSI Class 125 flanges. The pump is constructed with a cast iron casing, a bronze impeller with a 9-1/2" nominal diameter, and a bronze shaft sleeve. It utilizes a dry shaft design to isolate the shaft from the circulating fluid. The mechanical seal assembly consists of a ceramic seat, a carbon rotor, and EPT rubber, rated for operation at temperatures up to 250 °F. This model incorporates a rear pullout design and a top center line discharge, which facilitates maintenance and simplifies piping layouts. It also includes flush seal line taps and pressure tappings on the suction and discharge connections.
This pump is configured with a 2 HP Baldor motor in a 145 JM frame style with feet. The motor features a TEFC enclosure and operates at 1750 RPM. Power input is 230-460/60/3PH, using an across-the-line starting option. The motor meets NEMA premium efficiency standards per MG1-12.55 and includes AEGIS shaft grounding. The assembly is rated for a 40 °C ambient temperature and utilizes a counter-clockwise rotation. This unit maintains a Department of Energy (DOE) Pump Energy Index (PEI) rating of 0.84.
