This Taco FI Series base-mounted end suction pump features a 5" suction and 4" discharge with ANSI Class 250 flanges. The cast iron casing includes a bronze wear ring. The pump utilizes a 13-1/2" nominal diameter bronze impeller and a stainless steel shaft equipped with a bronze shaft sleeve. It uses a mechanical seal consisting of a ceramic seat, carbon rotor, and EPT rubber, rated for temperatures up to 250 °F. The design incorporates a dry shaft to prevent contact between the circulating fluid and the shaft.
This unit operates at 1750 RPM and is powered by a 40 HP Baldor TEFC motor. The motor is configured for 230-460/60/3 PH electrical service with a NEMA 324 T frame. It includes AEGIS shaft grounding, across-the-line starting, and operates in a 40 °C ambient environment. The assembly is mounted on a welded base with an integrated drip pan and an OSHA-compliant coupler guard, utilizing a Woods coupler. The pump meets NEMA Premium Efficiency standards per MG1-12.55 and has a DOE PEI value of 0.92.
