This Taco CI Series close-coupled end suction pump features a 4" suction connection and a 3" discharge connection with ANSI Class 125 flanges. The pump is constructed with a cast iron casing, a bronze impeller, and a 13-1/2" nominal impeller diameter. It utilizes a bronze shaft sleeve and a dry shaft design that prevents contact between the system fluid and the shaft. The mechanical seal consists of a ceramic seat, carbon rotor, and EPT rubber, rated for temperatures up to 250°F. The pump incorporates flush seal line taps and suction and discharge pressure tappings. The rear pullout design allows for servicing without disturbing system piping, while the top center line discharge configuration assists with self-venting.
This pump is configured with a 40 HP Baldor TEFC motor that operates at 1750 RPM. The motor is mounted in a 324 JM frame with feet and requires a 230-460V, 3PH power supply with across-the-line starting. The motor meets premium efficiency standards according to NEMA MG1-12.55 and includes AEGIS shaft grounding. The unit is rated for a 40°C ambient temperature, and the pump assembly has a DOE PEI value of 0.89.
