This base-mounted end suction pump is constructed with a class 30 cast iron casing and a bronze impeller. The design incorporates a stainless steel shaft covered by a replaceable bronze shaft sleeve to facilitate maintenance. The pump assembly utilizes a dry shaft design that prevents circulating fluid from contacting the shaft. Mechanical sealing consists of a ceramic seat and EPT rubber, engineered for 125 PSI operation.
The assembly utilizes a 20 HP premium efficiency TEFC motor operating at 1750 RPM, which integrates Aegis grounding for a 200-230V / 3PH power supply, resulting in a DOE PEI rating of 0.46. The 'S' in the SCI series denotes Taco's advanced Self-Sensing technology, which eliminates remote sensors and field wiring by using internal mathematical algorithms to calculate system resistance and automate variable flow. The included VFD is configured with a fused disconnect without bypass and holds an enclosure NEMA 12 / IP 55 rating. The drive ships unmounted for customer wall installation without a bracket, harness, or vibration mounts.
