This close-coupled end suction pump incorporates a cast iron casing and a bronze impeller. The dry shaft design prevents fluid contact with the stainless steel shaft sleeve, maintaining a 125 PSI operating pressure limit. Mechanical sealing is managed by a ceramic seat with EPT rubber components. Pressure tappings are integrated into the suction and discharge connections, and the construction includes flush seal line taps to facilitate the addition of an external filter.
The assembly is powered by a 5 HP Premium Efficiency TEFC motor operating at 1750 RPM with Aegis Grounding, utilizing a 200-230V / 3PH power supply, resulting in a DOE PEI of 0.45. The 'S' in the SCI series denotes Taco's advanced Self-Sensing technology, which eliminates remote sensors and field wiring by using internal mathematical algorithms to calculate system resistance and automate variable flow. The included VFD is configured with a fused disconnect without bypass and holds an enclosure NEMA 12 / IP 55 rating. The drive ships unmounted for customer wall installation without a bracket, harness, or vibration mounts.
