This end suction pump utilizes a cast iron casing with a bronze impeller and a stainless steel shaft. It incorporates a dry shaft design that prevents circulating fluid from contacting the shaft, which is protected by a replaceable bronze shaft sleeve. The assembly uses a silicon-carbide mechanical seal with EPT rubber elements and accommodates a maximum operating pressure of 125 PSI. This pump employs center-line discharge for air venting and provides pressure tappings on both the suction and discharge connections.
The assembly utilizes a 20 HP premium efficiency TEFC motor operating at 1750 RPM with Aegis grounding, compatible with 380-460V 3PH power, and carries a DOE PEI of 0.46. The S in the SFI series denotes Taco's advanced Self-Sensing technology, which eliminates remote sensors and field wiring by using internal mathematical algorithms to calculate system resistance and automate variable flow. The included VFD is configured with a fused disconnect without bypass and holds an enclosure NEMA 12 / IP 55 rating. The drive ships unmounted for customer wall installation without a bracket, harness, or vibration mounts.
