This base-mounted end suction pump incorporates a cast iron casing with a 125 PSI rating and an integral bronze wear ring. The pump utilizes a bronze impeller and a stainless steel shaft covered by a replaceable bronze shaft sleeve. This mechanical design utilizes a dry shaft to isolate the circulating fluid from the pump shaft components. A silicon-carbide mechanical seal with EPT rubber elements manages fluid containment at the shaft interface.
The assembly operates with a 2 HP premium efficiency TEFC motor at 1750 RPM, integrating Aegis grounding for electrical protection, powered by 200-230V 3PH input, with a DOE PEI rating of 0.44. The 'S' in the SCI series denotes Taco's advanced Self-Sensing technology, which eliminates remote sensors and field wiring by using internal mathematical algorithms to calculate system resistance and automate variable flow. The included VFD is configured with a fused disconnect without bypass and holds an enclosure NEMA 12 / IP 55 rating. The drive ships unmounted for customer wall installation without a bracket, harness, or vibration mounts.
