This base-mounted end suction pump is constructed with a cast iron casing and a bronze impeller. The assembly integrates a stainless steel shaft covered by a bronze shaft sleeve to isolate the circulating fluid from the shaft through a dry shaft design. A ceramic and EPT mechanical seal prevents leaks at 125 PSI, and the casing incorporates a wear ring. The design allows for system maintenance without disrupting piping connections, providing a robust hydraulic architecture.
Operating with a 10 HP Premium Efficiency TEFC motor at 1750 RPM, the pump utilizes Aegis grounding on a 380-460V / 3PH power supply with a DOE PEI of 0.45. The 'S' in the SCI series denotes Taco's advanced Self-Sensing technology, which eliminates remote sensors and field wiring by using internal mathematical algorithms to calculate system resistance and automate variable flow. The included VFD is configured with a fused disconnect without bypass and holds an enclosure NEMA 12 / IP 55 rating. The drive ships unmounted for customer wall installation without a bracket, harness, or vibration mounts.
