This base-mounted end suction pump incorporates a cast iron casing with a bronze impeller and a stainless steel shaft. It utilizes a dry shaft design that eliminates contact between the circulating fluid and the shaft, complemented by a replaceable bronze shaft sleeve. The assembly integrates a ceramic and EPT mechanical seal. Engineered for a 125 PSI operating limit without a wear ring, the pump supports serviceability through its internal design without disturbing existing system piping.
Powered by a 5 HP Premium Efficiency TEFC motor operating at 1750 RPM, the assembly integrates Aegis Grounding and runs on 380-460V / 3PH power, achieving a DOE PEI of 0.45. The 'S' in the SCI series denotes Taco's advanced Self-Sensing technology, which eliminates remote sensors and field wiring by using internal mathematical algorithms to calculate system resistance and automate variable flow. The included VFD is configured with an electro-mechanical bypass, main disconnect, and 5kA SCCR and holds an enclosure NEMA 12 / IP 55 rating. The drive ships unmounted for customer wall installation without a bracket, harness, or vibration mounts.
