This base-mounted end suction pump incorporates a cast iron casing with a center-line discharge and a bronze impeller. The assembly utilizes a dry shaft design that prevents circulating fluid from contacting the stainless steel shaft, which is protected by a replaceable bronze shaft sleeve. For fluid containment, the unit integrates a mechanical seal constructed with EPT rubber and a ceramic seat half. This configuration operates at a maximum pressure of 125 PSI and allows for field maintenance without disturbing system piping.
Power is provided by a 20 HP premium efficiency TEFC motor operating at 1750 RPM with Aegis grounding and a 380-460V / 3PH power supply, resulting in a DOE PEI rating of 0.46. The S in the SCI series denotes Taco's advanced Self-Sensing technology, which eliminates remote sensors and field wiring by using internal mathematical algorithms to calculate system resistance and automate variable flow. The included VFD is configured with a mechanical disconnect without bypass and holds an enclosure NEMA 12 / IP 55 rating. The drive ships unmounted for customer wall installation without a bracket, harness, or vibration mounts.
