This Taco FI Series base-mounted end suction pump features a 4" suction and 3" discharge with ANSI Class 125 flanges. It uses a 9-1/2" nominal diameter bronze impeller and a stainless steel shaft with a replaceable bronze shaft sleeve. The pump includes a mechanical seal with a silicon-carbide seat, carbon rotor, and EPT rubber, rated for 250°F. The casing is constructed of cast iron and is intended for clean water applications. It incorporates a dry shaft design to prevent contact between the circulating fluid and the shaft. Pressure tappings are located on the suction and discharge connections, and the unit features a flush seal line tap.
This unit operates at 1750 RPM and is powered by a 15 HP Baldor premium efficiency motor with a TEFC enclosure and NEMA 254T frame. It functions on a 230-460V, 60Hz, 3PH power supply and includes AEGIS shaft grounding. The pump assembly is mounted on a welded steel base that includes an integral drip pan, a Woods coupler, and an OSHA-compliant coupler guard. This configuration is rated for across-the-line starting and complies with a 40°C ambient temperature rating. The overall unit performance corresponds to a DOE PEI value of 0.91.
