This base-mounted end suction pump utilizes a class 30 cast iron casing with integrally cast mounting feet and a bronze impeller. The assembly incorporates a dry shaft design that prevents circulating fluid from contacting the stainless steel shaft, which is shielded by a replaceable bronze shaft sleeve. Fluid containment relies on a mechanical seal constructed with a ceramic seat and EPT rubber. This unit accommodates internal pressures up to 125 PSI without a wear ring. Pressure tappings are present on both the suction and discharge connections to facilitate system monitoring.
The system is powered by a 40 HP Premium Efficiency TEFC motor operating at 1750 RPM with Aegis Grounding, utilizing a 380-460V / 3PH power supply, resulting in a DOE PEI of 0.46. The S in the SFI series denotes Taco's advanced Self-Sensing technology, which eliminates remote sensors and field wiring by using internal mathematical algorithms to calculate system resistance and automate variable flow. The included VFD is configured with a fused disconnect without bypass and holds an enclosure NEMA 12 / IP 55 rating. The drive ships unmounted for customer wall installation without a bracket, harness, or vibration mounts.
