This centrifugal end suction pump utilizes a cast iron casing with an integral center-line discharge for efficient air venting. The assembly incorporates a bronze impeller keyed to a stainless steel shaft, which is protected from circulating fluid by a replaceable bronze shaft sleeve. Engineered for operation at pressures up to 125 PSI, the mechanical seal assembly comprises a ceramic seat and EPT rubber components. Permanently lubricated ball bearings are housed within the cast iron bearing frame, which includes suction and discharge pressure tappings as well as a drain port at the bottom of the casing.
The motor operates at 50 HP and utilizes a premium efficiency TEFC enclosure at 1750 RPM with Aegis grounding and a 380-460V / 3PH power supply, resulting in a DOE PEI rating of 0.46. The 'S' in the SCI series denotes Taco's advanced Self-Sensing technology, which eliminates remote sensors and field wiring by using internal mathematical algorithms to calculate system resistance and automate variable flow. The included VFD is configured with a fused disconnect without bypass and holds an enclosure NEMA 12 / IP 55 rating. The drive ships unmounted for customer wall installation without a bracket, harness, or vibration mounts.
