This close-coupled end suction pump utilizes a cast iron casing with a bronze impeller and a stainless steel shaft sleeve. The dry shaft design prevents contact between the shaft and the circulating fluid to support durability. A mechanical seal constructed with a ceramic seat half and EPT rubber material manages pressure up to 125 PSI. Integrated flush seal line taps provide the ability to install a filter for non-condensable particles, while suction and discharge connections contain pressure tappings for system monitoring.
The assembly utilizes a 7.5 HP premium efficiency ODP motor operating at 1750 RPM, equipped with Aegis grounding and powered by a 380-460V, 3PH supply. The 'S' in the SCI series denotes Taco's advanced Self-Sensing technology, which eliminates remote sensors and field wiring by using internal mathematical algorithms to calculate system resistance and automate variable flow. The included VFD is configured with a fused disconnect without bypass and holds an enclosure NEMA 1 / IP 21 rating. The drive ships unmounted for customer wall installation without a bracket, harness, or vibration mounts.
