This base-mounted end suction pump incorporates a cast iron casing with a center-line discharge for air venting and a bronze impeller. The pump utilizes a dry shaft design, which prevents contact between the circulating fluid and the stainless steel shaft. A replaceable bronze shaft sleeve protects the shaft, while the mechanical seal utilizes a ceramic seat and EPT rubber. The unit operates at 125 PSI without a wear ring and integrates pressure tappings on both the suction and discharge connections.
The motor is a 7.5 HP premium efficiency ODP unit operating at 1750 RPM with Aegis grounding, powered by 200-230V 3PH. The DOE PEI is 0.45. The "S" in the SFI series denotes Taco's advanced Self-Sensing technology, which eliminates remote sensors and field wiring by using internal mathematical algorithms to calculate system resistance and automate variable flow. The included VFD is configured with a fused disconnect without bypass and holds an enclosure NEMA 1 / IP 21 rating. The drive ships unmounted for customer wall installation without a bracket, harness, or vibration mounts.
